THE BAT-SUIT

The Bat-Suit is a design made from EVA foam and textured fabric. I took inspiration from the comic Batman: Noel and the 2022 film The Batman. I designed the suit in order to accommodate for maximum mobility and comfort. I wanted the suit to look tactical, which is why I incorporated the armor plates and fabric under suit. I made all of the patterns for the armor plates and fabric suit from scratch. The armor was cut out of EVA foam and glued to the sewn under suit. Once everything was constructed, I sealed the foam with plastic-dip and painted it to look weathered and worn.

THE SPIDER-MAN SUIT

This Spider-Man suit is based off the 2002 film Spider-Man, directed by Sam Raimi. The spandex suit I bought pre-dyed with the color and webbing pattern already on it. In order to make the suit screen accurate, I added the 3-D webbing, eye lenses, face-shell, boots, and the foam spider emblems. The webbing was made using puffy paint. The face-shell and lenses were 3-D printed from a file I purchased. Once printed, the lenses were sanded and painted, and added to the fabric mask. I glued soles to the bottom of the spandex suit, and made 3-D spider emblems out of EVA foam.

URETHANE RUBBER BATMAN COWL

This Batman cowl is inspired by the 2022 film The Batman, Directed by Matt Reeves. It was made entirely from urethane rubber. It was sculpted in clay on my life cast. I took a two piece silicone mold of the sculpt, and casted the mask in black tinted urethane rubber. I took a two piece mold of this cowl instead of a one piece mold in order to make the casting process easier.

THE RUBBER/FABRIC BATMAN COWL HYBRID

This Batman cowl combines a classic urethane rubber helmet with a faux leather hood. I wanted to make the cowl look like a seamless leather mask. The helmet portion was sculpted in clay, molded in silicone, and casted in urethane rubber. The faux leather hood was sewn together and glued to the rubber helmet along the sculpted seams. The desired effect was to make the areas where the two materials meet look seamless.

CUSTOMIZED SPIDER-MAN MASK

This Spider-Man mask is based off the 2002 film Spider-Man, directed by Sam Raimi. The fabric hood I purchased pre-dyed with the color and webbing pattern already on it. In order to make the mask screen accurate, I added the 3-D webbing, eye lenses, and face-shell. The webbing was made using puffy paint. The face-shell and lenses were 3-D printed from a file I purchased. Once printed, the lenses were sanded and painted, and added to the fabric mask. The white eyes were made from wire mesh and added to the lenses

THE DAREDEVIL HELMET

This helmet is based off of the Netflix series Daredevil. It was sculpted in clay on my life cast. The sculpture took about 2 months to complete, so I could make sure that it was as screen accurate as possible. I then took a mold of the sculpture in silicone, and casted the helmet in hard resin. I then painted it and added the red eye lenses.
